Product Description

This part is a set of tightening / fill wedges specially made for the Metso / Nordberg C125 jaw crusher. The wedges are long, machined steel pieces that are pushed or pulled into position to lock other crusher parts in place—typically around the jaw assembly—so they don’t move under vibration. Two part numbers are used (ONA-949647113600 and ONA-949647113700), which means two matching pieces / two positions on the C125.

Where it is used

  • Crusher model: Metso / Nordberg C125

  • Function zone: jaw crusher clamping / fixing area (jaw, side, or frame clamping depending on C125 layout)

  • Purpose: to tighten, shim (fill), and secure the crusher components so the machine keeps its designed nip angle and crushing chamber.

Why it’s important

A jaw crusher works with strong, repeated shocks. If the jaw, cheek plate or frame components are not wedged firmly, the parts will loosen, knock, wear the seats and create misalignment. Using the correct C125 tightening / fill wedge restores the clamp force and keeps the crusher running smoothly.

Key Features

  1. Exact C125 fitment – manufactured to Metso/Nordberg C125 dimensions, plug-in replacement for ONA-949647113600 / 700.

  2. High-strength steel – long, straight wedges that can take high side pressure without bending.

  3. Dual function (tighten + fill) – can both lock the part and fill the installation gap, so no extra shimming plates are needed.

  4. Anti-loosen under vibration – designed for crushers that run continuously in quarry/mining conditions.

  5. Easy to install / remove – supplied in piece form, wrapped and crated; can be changed during normal shutdown.

Typical Applications

  • Periodic overhaul of a Metso C125

  • Re-clamping jaw or frame parts after wear

  • Replacing damaged or deformed wedges to stop parts from moving

  • Setting the correct working clearance after changing jaw or cheek plates

FAQ

Q1: Do I have to use both numbers (600 and 700)?

Yes. They correspond to two positions on the C125; for correct clamping and symmetry you normally install them as a pair.

Q2: Can I use this on C110 or C140?

No. This set is dimensioned for C125. Other C-series models have different wedge length/angle.

Q3: What happens if the wedge is worn?

The part you are clamping will start to move or rattle, leading to faster wear of the jaw/frame seats and sometimes to broken bolts.

Q4: What material is it?

High-quality structural / wear-resistant steel, surface-protected and shipped in crates for quarry/mining customers.
